Lilia is a Bulgarian born, London based stylist, image maker and lecturer with a background in fine art and scenography. Her work references Balkan aesthetics and blends symbolism, storytelling and ancient traditions with the visual language of contemporary fashion and art.
Alongside her freelance work Lilia is also developing a research and academic practice. She lectures at Kingston School of Art and Istituto Marangoni London and is pursuing a Masters in 'Intercultural Practices' at Central Saint Martins, UAL.
Lilia is currently working on a book exploring the formation and expression of Bulgarian taste and aesthetics and its influences on contemporary art, photography and fashion from Bulgaria and the Balkans.
